Commemoration of the Greek Independence, the Anniversary of 25th March 1821.

​The Hellenic Federation of South Africa is organising its annual

commemoration of the Greek Independence, the Anniversary of 25th March 1821. This will take place on Sunday, 17th March 2019. The liturgy and Doxology will commerce at 8h30 am officiated by His Eminence Archbishop Damaskinos at the Hellenic Orthodox Cathedral of Sts. Constantine and Helen-Johannesburg. From 12h00 the commemoration, parade and festivities will take place at the SAHETI School grounds, Senderwood, Johannesburg. All of our Organizations have joined forces to celebrate the Greek Nation’s Independence Day and to make this a fun-filled and festive day for everyone.  Come along and bring your family and friends to join in the celebrations to be remembered by all – with presentations and pageantry, Traditional Greek folk dancing, choral and orchestral presentations performed by, EPNEK, SAHETI and the Mary Vassiliou Greek Dancing Association.
